Changing the World with Liberty and Love
Interview with Hannah Faulkner

At this tumultuous time in our history, it’s easy to be pessimistic about the future. For at least a century, there have been those who have sought to undermine and corrupt our Judeo-Christian heritage. Lately, this is happening at a dizzying pace.
We are incrementally losing our natural rights that were guaranteed protection under our Bill of Rights.
Thankfully, there is hope on the horizon . . . .
Hannah Faulkner is one of those shining beacons of hope with a sparkling spirit of 1776. Like Sybil Ludington, who, at the age of 16, roused over 400 militia men on her horse warning them of an imminent attack by British soldiers on Danbury, Connecticut in April of 1777. Hannah, at only 15, is rallying the troops and taking a brave stand for her generation and those to come.
Hannah was born in Lynchburg, VA, and moved with her family to Tennessee at age 2. She has been home-schooled since she was in first grade and is presently dually-enrolled in homeschool and studying Criminal Justice online with Liberty University. She plans to graduate from Liberty in 3 years then plans to pursue a degree in Constitutional Law. Hannah confidently proclaims, “I love Jesus, America, and freedom!”
Turning Point USA attracted Hannah’s attention two years ago. “I got involved with Turning Point two years ago, when my field rep at the time came to my homeschool tutorial and discussed Turning Point, their mission, etc. ... It made me so excited and intrigued, I wanted to start a chapter. After that, we hit the ground running with events, recruitment, and meetings. She currently serves as President of the Rutherford County Activism Hub in middle Tennessee.
Turning Point USA is a non-profit organization that believes in limited government, free markets, and freedom whose mission is to “educate, and organize students to promote freedom,” as stated on its website, https://www.tpusa.com.
Hannah and her TPUSA chapter organized an event in January of this year to draw attention to the gender reassignment surgeries that are occurring all too often and prematurely to children. About that, Hannah said, “Never would I have imagined that two years later we would be hosting the first Teens Against Gender Mutilation rally.”
“Teens Against Gender Mutilation,” hosted by Hannah’s Turning Point Chapter, drew 500 attendees to hear speakers including another courageous young woman, 18-year-old Chloe Cole, who is on the march to save other young people from the horrors she has endured through transition and de-transition. Cole shared that she was put on puberty blockers at 13-years-old and underwent a double mastectomy at 15 years old. "I don't want anyone to go through what I have and that's why I'm up here," declared Cole, as she testified at the event. This issue is undoubtedly the concern of Hannah Faulkner and her Rutherford County Activism chapter and the purpose for organizing the event.
Reporting from the “Teens Against Gender Mutilation” event, News Channel 5 Nashville wrote, "This rally isn't because we hate anyone. This rally is because we love everyone," said president of Turning Point USA in Rutherford County, Hannah Faulkner.
I asked Hannah how she is spreading the word and recruiting more high school students to the mission of Turning Point USA. She replied, “We are going to campuses and educating young people about free speech. (Turning Point USA) Chapters are changing the world!”
Hannah enlightened me to one of her favorite sentiments by John Adams, one he expressed in a letter to his wife Abigail in 1777: “Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it.” And she is indisputably making good use of hers. Adams would be pleased!
When I asked Hannah Faulkner if we (America and freedom) will win in the end, she emphatically insisted, “If we do not take a stand now, we will NOT win. We cannot be ashamed of our beliefs! God will win in the end!”
As Hannah bravely pursues her degrees in Criminal Justice and Constitutional Law, we wish her the very best and are grateful for her steadfastness of spirit, that exhilarating spirit of 1776, out of which liberty is ignited and nurtured.
