Welcome to TPY’s Constitution Challenge! The future of our nation depends on your understanding of liberty and of how our Constitution was conceived and established to protect it. Your generation will be the key to Keeping our Republic. May the blessings of liberty be upon you always!
Eligibility: You must be a U. S. citizen and a high school student in grades 9-12. Your parent must sign the parental permission form. Email it along with your essay (described below) to: [email protected]

Prize: If your essay receives a passing grade and is one of the first 20 we receive this year, you will win a $50 cash prize. If your essay shows mastery of the subject, we will ask your permission to publish it on TPY’s website! If your effort falls short, you will receive a consolation prize and be encouraged to try again.
The Challenge: We will post Modules that contain reading materials and/or videos on the U.S. Constitution. Your job is to:

- Read and/or view the information provided and, if you are so inclined, find extra information on your own concerning the topic. You should expect to spend approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours reviewing the provided materials.
- Write a 400-word essay demonstrating your understanding of the topic and the vocabulary associated with it presented in the material. You should spend 30 minutes to an hour writing the essay.
- In the essay, you must also relate the key concepts covered in the materials to your own life or to society today.
